Hi jaknzax you were a bit off on your comment about the Esquire,an Esquire isn't just a Tele with the neck pickup removed.The Esquire also has a blade switch just as the Tele that engages/disengages different capacitors etc. giving it more tonal variation than just having a tone and volume control.

exactly. theres no tone like an esquires tone period.
they are very loud guitars also.
if youve never had the opportunity to hear and play a real esquire in person, you owe it to yourself to do so.

In my humble opinion, wanting another Tele (or 2 or 10) isn't GASing. It is merely engaging in extremely rational thinking about what I consider, hands down, the best guitar ever made. And bless your wife. So buy one to toast her, another to toast yourself, and another to toast your marriage. See, you've doubled the number of teles you have without worrying about GAS. Then you con buy another to toast your Tele collection and because 7 is a lucky number. See, rationality rules. the prof

Prof..I hear you...to make matters worse...my wife just picked out 3 new Teles for me tonight...an Esquire...a Roadworn and Thinline..:) Life is good
