I am a very lucky guy, I have an Awesome wife who treats me like a king. I have a great career which if I do say so I have done well for my wife and me with. I have a ton of amazing gear and I have 3 awesome Teles! Well, last night we are on line looking at different Teles on here on Fender and what does my wife say I need...a new Esquire, black with white pickguard. She also loved the Nashville Tele. No all day I have been sitting here GASing for them...so I guess I will have to give in and order one and then in a little while the other...oh the Pain!!! LOL

Mrs airbourne is certainly "in tune" with the GAS habits we have. My wife is the same way, she will point out "cool gear" and then lets me get it!

I guess some of us got real lucky!

Simple: Because a man can NEVER have too many Telecasters. After I finish my project I am committing myself to saving for and buying a vintage one from late 60's-early 70's.

I was telling my wife about the lovely Tele Custom and Thinline I saw on Monday-getting my Christmas hints in early.

You can be more than happy with just 3 telecasters. The question is will you allow yourself to be happy with only 3 telecasters? ^^

My wife doesn't encourage gear accumulation for its own sake, but I recently picked up a Squier Tele and practice amp for $60. Her reaction? "Nice find!" Plus, now I have a Tele!

I hear you mates. I am lucky because my wife appreciates the nuances of different Teles. As she always says 'You support and encourage my hobbies and passions I feel it is only right to do the same for you" I think that 3 is awesome but...5 isn't bad either

I would go for 6, not 5. You want to keep your guitars in even numbers, otherwise bad things start to happen...

...come to think about it, I was having a rough 2010, UNTIL I evened things out... Note to self: only buy guitars in pairs from now on!

I have been married too long. The minute I read that your wife wanted you to have a new guitar I thought "Ok what she really wants is you to buy another guitar so she can get something she has been wanting". Sorry, it was just t was a knee jerk reaction.

Middleman, you're right-on... When my wife encourages my G.A.S., my first reaction is uh oh!!

i have 2 tele's. 1 is extremely nice (as nevin knows) and the other is a guitar center exclusive ash body tele.
i love my exclusive. i put 11's on it and its now my go-to guitar.
plays like a dream after my tech set it up for me.
i love the dam thing to be honest, BUT, i want another. lol

You have an Esquire, just put the pup selector switch on the bridge pickup and there you go.
