That is going to be a really cool Tele. I love the neck and that's a really cool color for the body.

Top stuff, my personal view is I liked the look of the neck before it was relic'd, but having said that, you're going for that relic'd look and you've 100% nailed it, and I'm sure it has that worn in feel that I do really like. Plus it matches that fantastic looking body... relic shoreline gold.... killer!

Yeah, I too like the shoreline gold! Awesome man! Question about the relic process. Does that have to happen during the build or can you do a relic treatment to a guitar you already own? JW.

I am sure you can do it to a guitar you already own, it really depends on the finish it has though. If it is a nitro finish (over a poly finish) like a Hwy 1 then you can carefully relic it yourself. If it is a straight up poly finish then that makes it a lot more difficult and I wouldn't know how to advise you on doing it yourself.

i didn't do the aging/relic on my neck and body myself, I had Mark and Matt Jenny at MJT aged finishes do it for me. They are masterful at the art of the guitar relic.

The parts tele started right with Musikraft parts and paint job by Mark Jenny, he's great and his prices are right, he always has nice stuff in his Ebay store (no affiliation with them). I'll be definitely looking forward to see it ready!

Thanks Lago, I hold the Musikraft bodies and necks in high regard after they came recommended by several luthiers and musicians I have a lot of trust and respect for. As for the parts, if you are building a Tele, might as well go ahead and buy every part that Glendale has.

I have no affiliation with Mark and Matt Jenny either, but without hesitation I will mention them as THE people to talk to if you are building a relic guitar or needing one refinished. The communication with them throughout the whole process has been excellent and the near finished product looks spectacular, even better than I expected.

Thanks

I think we'll need some sort of video when it's done :)
