I preferred the 48 bridge pick up to the 60 bridge pick up because to my ears, the 60 had a little too much treble for my taste than the 48.

All of this is just my opinion based on the styles I like/play.

I like both the 60's set and the broadcasters! haha you've probably see by now that I am the forum spokesperson for the Broadcaster set. My friend had a 1982 AVRI 52' Tele with them in it and I had never heard tone like that before. I had to have them.

What I meant was I mixed it - 48 for bridge and 60 in neck position.

Just sent out the body and hardware, sending out the neck on Monday.

Feels good now that I am hitting the home stretch of my project. Now to play the waiting game.

Matt Jenny at MJT Aged Finishes. Dude is a pro, best relics I have seen including those from the Fender custom shop.

When I hit the lottery I'll just buy you a real Broadcaster!

I can't wait to see the body though, but I am being patient.

This already has me planning a double bound relic in Charcoal frost or a regular tele in vintage blonde!

Hehehe! :D

Once you start building your own you can't stop! I've had this problem for a while now. GBH (Guitar Building Hysteria) is much worse than having GAS IMO.

Cheers!

Andy

Yes, yes it is...also pondering a la Cabronita build, or a thinline with a humbucker in the neck...it never ends!

Pics of the body after the first coat of Nitro and light relic. One more coat of nitro and a slight bit more aging and we will be ready to roll.
