Post subject: humbucker in the neck

hi i have a question. I know this has been posted before but im to lazy to look for it. I play metal and want to put a sd or dimarzio in the neck position of my tele standard ash is it already routed or will i have to route it.

Hi Ed.

Is this a question or a statement?

If it a question of approval, well you have my 'Okie dokie" thumbs up to go for it.
I would think a Air Norton would be a better choice in the neck, but it all hinges on the question, do you have a maple or rosewood fretboard.

If you have the Rosewood board, well then we may have to deal with the "Too Much Sizzle" issue as well.

Okay, It took three times through it to see your question, yes you will need to route it. (Unless it came with a humbucker)

I looked at some bodies on the Ebay Store Stratosphere. It looks like the made in Mexico standards are routed for a humbucker. Next time you change strings, you should look under the pickguard as Tochai suggested. What year is your guitar?
