No I didn't even think of checking with the forum. I did call Duncan and spoke to a tech and he told me he was not familiar with the SCN fender pickups. Thanks for the tip.

Not familiar.... That's a laugh and a half. All of those aftermarket pickup companies are intimately familiar with the pickups made by their competition and even more so with the stock OEMs they wish to replace. If they're not familiar then they're not doing their job. My estimation of Seymore Duncan has been slowly waning the past few years and this story isn't helping me regain faith in them.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The guy told me and he sounded "young" that they would probably be out of phase....and directed me to one of their pickups. He was not of any help and actually just confused matters.
Thanks for the input, Chuck

imo, duncan has a very informative web site as far as the whos and what there pick pick up can do, including wiring schem/resistance, and freq response with what ever wood your may be using.

u just gotta dig, and you will find it in there website.
as far as the s1 switching?....i believe its gonna be your call if you so choose to keep it in the signal flow.

"I" for one, am not that crazy about Fender Samarium cobalt magnet pick ups. I own 08 deluxe tele equipped those pick ups, and IMO, they dont have enuff umph to push the frt end of the amp,,again,,,this is my opinion.

Id really like to replace the bridge pick up in my tele, but im leaving it alone, gonna leave it stock. it is what it is, i bought it that way, and thats the way its gonna stay.
Im sure Il get a wild hair and build a tele one day and load it with diff. pups, and hopefully, they,ll be more to my liking........gezz....I swear....its an endless story
