They sound pretty damn good, looking forward to seeing how your Tele project turns out.

I am working on one of my own and just have to wait for the neck to come in and the bridge and saddles. From there I'll send it to the paint shop to be finished then to my luthier to assemble. Looking forward to finishing it though, it is going to be my dream Tele and the one I never get rid of.

Hopefully I can get it all wrapped up within the next 2 months. So far all I have pics of are the body. But for parts I have a Glendale bridge, saddles and neckplate. Body and neck by Musikraft, the body is cut to a 1952 Tele's specs but in clear Ash and the neck is select flamed maple with 21 jumbo frets and 1 11/16 Tusq nut. Fender vintage style Tele tuners. Vintage string tree and top hat selector. Switchcraft jack. Kinman Broadcaster zero hum pickups and Glendale pots and tone caps. Going to go with Shoreline Gold and a nice vintage amber nitro sprayed on the neck and a light light relic on both fret board and body.

Here are pics of the body:

here is the color that my tele is getting painted:

it's double bound in pearloid and i'll put a pearloid pickguard on it as well. a highly flamed maple neck with a vintage tint to round it off. I'm really looking forward to this coming together, as i'm sure you are for yours!

That is a really cool looking color and I bet it will look super with the pearloid binding and guard. Yeah it has been a long time coming. I have just come to the conclusion that I am a Tele player, it is the guitar for me. So I figured it was time to stop looking for the perfect one and just build it myself. It'll end up being $1000-1100 total but once completed it'll be better than a custom shop guitar so far as the hardware, pups and all.

Ryan - I'm sure your Tele will be as sweet as your Strat. I think your Strat build is one of the nicest looking Strats I've ever seen!

BCB - Looking forward to the build - post pics!

I agree with MR.RickyD your strat is one of the nicest strats around. She looks better than most custom shops i've seen.

thanks guys i appreciate the kind words, that strat was the first guitar project i've done and i couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. this tele will end up being more expensive than that strat, probably because there wont be one single part of this tele that i haven't customized or had made custom for it. i think it will be worth it though!

knit girl....huh? :|

It'll definitely be worth it, because you'll have a guitar built to all of your specs and customized exactly how you want it. I realize I might even spend up to $1200 on mine but it'll be the guitar I always dreamed of and there won't be any need to make any changes. I'll be keeping it forever too so it'll be worth every penny.
