So I've been just researching some Telecasters, I own a standard tele. Was wondering if its the American Deluxe model or only a certain year that has the white trim. I love that with the red sunburts kind of color. I NEED ONE

You mean binding right? The american deluxe tele doesn't have binding but both the american and Japanese 62' reissue telecasters have it. They're available with a bigsby too :) they're available in sunburst and candy apple red for the japanese, and the more expensive USA model has more colour choices. Both are excellent though :)

Okay just had a look and the am. Deluxes with alder bodies do have binding, but the ash models don't (they're more expensive anyway) sorry for the mix up.

My 2009 Antique Cherry Sunburst American Deluxe has the white binding. That's one of the factors that drew me to the alder model.

I went into Guitar Center expecting to buy a '52 Reissue but I found that I needed the American Deluxe more. Go figure. :)

Nice tele,s guys....real nice.
I 2 fell in love with that same Tele and just had to have it, Id post it, but dont know how to post a pic.

I love the way it looks, but Im so darn used to my Strats that it takes a bit for my left hand to get cumphy with the neck.

I sure wish that tele had more umph to it as well.
I know theres tons of other single coils out there that can give me more bark, but I just would never forgive myself for altering my beautiful aged cherry burst tele. Its staying stock...all factory OEM. no way. no how am i gonna miss with it.
Ill do a few country gigs here and there and when I do, I always make sure I take a few clean boost stomp boxes to get me where I need to be when I plug this tele in

I have one-it's a 2008. It's a very nicely done guitar-it's great to play and I like the neck and I know I seem to be in the minority but I really like the S-1 Switching. I think the new ones have the new N3 noiseless pickups-mine has samarium cobalts. It's a great guitar.

I ordered myself a amer deluxe with binding in 3 tone sunburst. I like the cherry too. They are great looking guitars. Shame I have to wait 3 months to get it. Seeing all of the ones pictured here makes it hard to wait. Hope they can get them out sooner. I might have to get a standard model to get me to November!

Sometimes it's better to use a smaller wattage amp and crank it. On Ocassion I use a THD 30 Watt BI-VALVE over a mahogany cabinet. I use a 6L6 and a 6550 in the power section. This amp is class A wired so it can be tubed in any configuration without bias adjustments, AND it has a built in attenuator. It also has a low voltage switch so it can be a little more distorted using that setting.

Also have a duncan gain boost in my pedal box. That helps alot when I use the amp in normal mode.. which is quite like the marshall 50 watt lead combo. The transformers in normal mode use 495 volts. In low voltage it's about 375 volts.

I also own a princeton and two ampeg VT-40's ... and those are WAY too loud. 60 watts apiece.

Good luck finding your tone.
