I chose the Lite Ash. For one, I did my research and found that, for a Korean made guitar, it is superb quality. Granted it IS a little more pricey than than the Standard but you get what you pay for. 2ndly I felt that the twang on the Lite Ash was sweeter sounding, the highs were clean and inviting and the lows weren't muddy. To me it sounds better over all, but that is just my opinion. Check it out for yourself. Also the neck on the lite ash is sooooooooo smooth. It feels like your holding butter in your hands. So to reiterate. Pick em up and try em out. Your hands and ears will tell you everything!

I don't like the standard MIM Fenders, The Classic series are so much
better and also MIM.
The Lite Ash would be my choice.

I love my lite ash, the way it feels, plays and looks. But I am of the belief why limit yourself to just one model. Get one of each. Korean, MIM, USA and Japanese models. The you have a more complete collection of axes to choose from depending on your mood.

I have a natural Lite Ash tele - looks just like a 52 and it is a fine guitar for the money; lovely ash body, lovely neck, great sounding pickups and vintage brass 3 saddle bridge (considered by many to be superior to other 6 saddle and stainless steel 3 saddle bridges found on the highway 1 and mexican models) - go for the lite ash I say! :D
