I am looking at a sunburst Highway 1 Telecaster. It is in very good condition and it's got a Gotoh modern bridge and Fender SCN Noiseless pickups. Can anyone tell me what a fair price would be?

Got a picture or two?
Does it have a case?

$500 w/case, IMO.

I'm sure you know a brand new one stock with a gig bag is $700.

I'm not sure why, but a whole bunch of these were dumped for $389 and $369 w/GB at Guitar Center nationwide last Labor Day, I think. I got one and a guy I know in NOLA got TWO.

Mine had just been unboxed that morning.

I didn't consider myself an H1 kind of guy, but it was a very good example.

I don't think that much of the A3 pickups (same as on the current Mexican Standards), but the build quality is very good. The rather fugly matte nitro will rub out to a very nice "aged" gloss with a little judicious use of very fine polishing compound.

The one incredible gaffe is that if the neck pickup doesn't have exposed screws, you actually have to pull the neck to adjust the pickup...as the pickguard won't clear the fretboard cantilever. Dumbest thing I ever saw. I had a new white American Series pickguard to remedy this situation.
