Post subject: Need Help to change pickups on custom Telecaster for metal

Hello everyone,

Just recently, Ive purchased myself a red custom telecaster and I would really love changing the pickups. However, Ive been having a hard time finding other people that have changed their pickups to emgs t single coil active pickups or to the seymour duncan blackouts metal ahb 2. As you can guess, Im looking for a really heavy tone and I would live to hear any advice that you guys could give on which one is the best and where the batteries would have to be placed and so on.

Honestly, if you're playing really heavy stuff, I'd go with the DiMarzio Super Distortion T. It'll give you a way thicker sound than any EMG. And it requires no modification to your guitar, so it's a win-win situation. I've installed a bunch of these in people's guitars. They sound awesome for heavy stuff.

or just drop in some duncan hot rails i have hot rails in my neck pos on my strat and it sounds awesome for metal leads.
