I just opened the specs tab under the MIM Fender Standard Telecaster and it says it has "hot alnico III" pickups. Has anyone noticed this or heard any news about a change? They were "hot ceramic" until a month ago at least huh?

Or is it a mistake, since the specs list was changed recently maybe they mistook some info?

I'm gonna go with mis-print.

Their new website needs A LOT of work yet.

You're correct. The distortion-friendly AlNiCo IIIs came into the scene when the whole Standard Series line got an overhaul in 2009.

This is interesting, since I have seen what appear to be different American and Mexican A3 production on H1 Telecasters and have wondered if there was any difference in the individual units.
