RickyD: please post pictures of the Classic 50's when you get it :D

In my list, I take the MIM Standard as the 2nd most under appreciated. I think they are very good guitars.

John 5 models.

I'm going to +1 this on behalf of the Squier model. I think with all the love the CVs get, the J5 Squier gets overlooked. And I actually think it's on-par if not better than the CVs.

If having a nitro body for you is a must, I'd contact Mark Jenny in MJT Guitars and buy one of his finished bodies. They look great! He gets the right shades of blonde, and he makes them either "NOS" or relic if you want.

That is who will be finishing my custom build Tele. The guy is very talented at what he does. Shoreline gold and a light light relic on the fretboard and body

most under-appreciated? I love my '97 Telecaster Plus. the workmanship is incredible and the range of sound is outstanding.
It has the best tone of any telecaster I've played ... including my '52 re-issue...

I agree with Tanner, the most under-appreciated Tele is mine, in this case a 2004 American Standard that is getting Area T's installed this weekend. Hopefully I'll appreciate it even more. I'm 51 years old and this is the first Tele (and still the only one) that said, "Take me home."

The 72 Custom or the Lite Ash Tele. I dont own a Lite Ash but my friend does and they were amazing guitars for the price and the SD Alnico Pro II's are gorgeous sounding too.
