There is a spalted Tele in a shop here for $250, is it worth it? It is very pretty and not a scratch on it, but it is made in korea, any input is welcome

I like any exposed wood grain pattern (even Alder) and if it's flamed quilted or spalted so much the better.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I played one in a store and I was impressed with the build quality, I couldn't find a flaw anywhere on it. I passed on it because the sound just didn't get my attention, I only played it for about twenty minutes and thats not really enough time to bond with a guitar, but if you can pick one up for that price you might want to give it some serious consideration. :)

I think that spalted wood on any guitar looks great,I'd almost fly out your way myself to get that spalted Tele for $250.

Thanks All!, I went back to the pawn shop, he took $225 tax included, then I told him what it was called, he thought it was a Fender Copy, :o anyway I started playing it and usually I love the double humbucker sound of a les paul, but when I pulled the knob out I thought Stevie Ray was inside! Pretty nice to switch sounds without switching guitars, I think this one is a keeper.

You got yourself a wonderful deal-of course you know that you have to post pix, after all that's the law or at least should be.

Something that beautiful should be hanging in an art gallery-simply breath taking guitar.

It is nice looking, but not sure about the medium jumbo frets, I like them a little shorter, almost fretless would be ideal for me, but it is a keeper.

WOW ! What a steal. I just bought one just like it new at a local Fender dealer for $800 !!! You got quite a bargain. I love the dual Seymore HBs and the coil tap. I got tired of changing out between my American Strat and my Charvel on stage during different songs and this allows me to get the sound of them both. The set neck is awesome also. I am thinking about picking up a back up to this one before they are all gone! $250? Shoot, let me know where I can get 4 more at that price and I'm there!

I may be mistaken about this but I was pretty sure those guitars came with jumbo frets, not medium jumbo. A friend of mine had one for a few years and I seem to recall the frets were pretty big.
