I played a Telecoustic Deluxe today (3-tone sunburst) and I have to say I really thought it was a nice guitar. It's a semi-acoustic (thin body), so unplugged it sounds thin, but I kind of like that. I also like that the neck isn't quite as chunky as some tele necks. I'm seriously considering shelling out for it now as I think it'd be a nice bedroom player without having to bother my family whenever I plug in my strat for a spin.

It features a mexican tele pickup as well as another under-the-saddle pickup which you can blend. I thought the built-in tuner was a very handy feature to let you just pick up the guitar and go.

Anyone have any experience with these, keeping in mind it isn't the standard telecoustic? Yes, it is made in CHINA! I can deal

I don't have any personal experience with the Telecoustic Deluxe but I have read several favourable reviews.I have a MIC Stratacoustic and I love it and haven't had any problems other than the action from the factory was a tad high for my liking but that was an easy fix.

Quick question if yall dont mind.

do then necks on those guitars actually feel like strat and tele necks or are they more like acoustic necks?

and

can you put 9-42 strings on them?

It's a tele neck alright. And yes, you can string on whichever guage pleases you.

Anyway, if anyone's interested I went back to try the axe one more time. Decided I'd pass on this one, I couldn't justify the price upon a second look (they had it at $640 cad+tax). The neck made me feel right at home, though.
