Hello,
I purchased a Fender B-Bender Nashville Tele with the intention of changing the neck to a VERY shallow C like the sixty's profile. After-Market neck manufactures say that a conversion neck will not fit due to the 22 Fret set-up. WHAT CAN I DO??? HELP WELCOME!!!
Help B4 I take a belt sander too it.

That sounds odd. I guess Warmoth is one of the manufacturers your talking about? The way they preach, if you've got the money they can do anything.

What about a 21 fret neck? Do you actually need a 22?

If you can't find a solution, that belt sander idea is not all that bad of one. Of course don't use a belt sander, but some careful sanding with sandpaper would work just as good. If you really know what your doing, you can shape it just as good as any machine could. The good thing about doing it yourself is you get to keep your *Fender labeled" neck. You might also try finding a luthier that could do the job for you. It would probably be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a custom made neck from somebody.

yes, it is warmouth and I called them back and they are checking into it deeper. But you are on base by suggesting carefully honing down the Fender neck. I just wanted to replace it (the neck) and if I ever sold it I would just remove my neck and sell it with the original neck.
Happy Holidays :)

That's good. I knew Warmoth might try to do something about it, they usually don't let anybody down.

Keep us filled in on how things with that neck work out. Now I'm interested to see if they can pull it off.

Good luck
