Hey all. I have some parts kicking around and want to build a tele. Trouble is, i'm stuck for ideas. Could you maybe share ideas/ photos of you creations to inspire me? Thanks.

It all depends on what you want to do.

I built an Andy Summers Tele from parts. The rundown goes as follows:

bound 3-color-sunburst tele body from Allparts
a vintage maple Tele neck
vintage tuners
six in a row brass (chrome covered) saddle
Humbucker in the neck (with coil tap ability)
Broadcaster Pickup in the bridge
white pickguard
mid-range "scoop" tone knob (Turn in one way it's a normal tone knob. Turn it the other way it "scoops out" the mid-range) Useful and gives me some interesting tones).
5 way switch positions from the neck back:
1. HB
2. Coil tapped (Very Strat neck sounding)
3. HB & Bridge
4. Single coil & bridge
5. Bridge pick up

This might not be for you, but I like it.

I would sugest going to Warmouth of Allparts and look at their replacement bodies and necks.

I hope this helps.

Here is my Telecaster I made in the past months. I don't know what kind of Telecaster body you have but there's a lot of option!! Take a look a the topic ''Let's take a look at your Tele!''. It will give you some good ideas.

There is always trying to build a Jonny Lang special...here's one built for a south paw.

But most likely you would want it right handed.
