Hello Guys,

I have always wanted a Tele and today I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered a 2010 American Deluxe in Ash. I am looking forward to receiving it and I am looking forward to joining your ranks!

In which colour? This guitar comes in two beautiful finishes, 2-tone sunburst and butterscotch blonde.

The butterscotch blonde Deluxe Ash Telecaster is essentially a "modernized" version of the ever-popular '52 blackguard.

The old version with the SCNs and the abalone dots is cool, too!

Hey guys, I went with Butterscotch, a classic color.

They have a 2009 on the floor in Vintage Sunburst and I think white binding and the abalone dots. It is nice, but doesn't have locking tuners and is not my favorite color. They are asking $1,299 for it, I think list is $2,100ish.

I like the 2010 for the tuners, the pickups, and the truss rod. Plus I had to have Butterscotch.

I have been jonesing for a Tele for so long that I can't believe I hadn't pulled the trigger before. I actually had ordered a '52 RI that they were going to sell me for $1300, but when it came in, I just couldn't pull the trigger.

What I really liked about the Deluxe is the body shape, the heel of the neck, the shape of the neck, and the things I mentioned above.

I just wish it arrived sooner!

I just got a call from the guitar shop. Delivery has moved out to 90 days. Does that sound normal for a 2010 American Deluxe Ash?

From what I've seen on various websites these were not supposed to be available in stores until the end of this month anyway, after the other colors shipped. I wouldn't worry about it - I still haven't seen one up close, just on YouTube at the various trade shows.

Thank you guys. I am so excited to get it. In the meantime, I made a small purchase......

I totally love it and the flexibility of the WRHB and SC.

Hi guys, this may be off subject, but since we are talking Am Deluxes, i was wondering if annyone has experienced a small popping or clicking when depressing the S1 switch. If so, is this fixable? The guitar is under warranty still.
Thanks.

The other thing that was driving me crazy was that I thought the S1 changed the neck pu when depressed from parrallel to series but i just went back and read that it only changes the series in the middle position. I should go back and purchase that baja tele, that S1 made some crazy good sounds.

Mxcagg, The S1 switch would not have any impact on a single coil pickup.
