I agree with this. Only change I would make is to upgrade it to Kinman Broadcaster pups since for me they are the ultimate...although without them it is still the boss of all Tele's.

Why change anything about it if it's the ultimate?

because I prefer the tone of Kinman Broadcaster pups, but without them in my opinion it is still the best Tele...as I stated in my first post "without them it is still the boss of all Teles"

It's real nice, and put texas specials with a 4-way is just icredible, but the problem is only 21 frets, and a 3-saddle bridge(which can be changed) and these two are defect to intonation. But other than that it is a great guitar.

I can't figure it out either. If I wanted a guitar to mod a special way I would by a std tele and gut it but to each his own. I bought a vintage 52 RI because of what it is not to make something different.

i agree, as is it is the perfect guitar. with the upgraded pups I would put in it, it would be beyond perfection. but stock it is a 10/10

It's just that the stock pups FOR ME, IN MY OPINION, has just a little too much treble

I feel that '52 AVRI is THE Tele. She has the sound every Tele strives to achieve.

She has modern wiring. Like most 2 pup guits, the neck is a bid low, but is useable when raised. I rarely use the neck alone. The best sounds are neck & bridge or bridge, for me.
I have a Deluxe as well. It took no time to get to use to the neck profile.
I wouldnt mind taller frets, but, that can wait till shes played out.
As some have said, try both.
There are no uses with intonations on mine. Ive seen 6 saddles with better problems.

Man that Telecaster looks sweet. Very nice. I need another just to put on a white guard. Looks really sharp!

sanx Niven.
Another???
I always liked the white guard. I remember when I was a kid, Im not sure if it was Cash's or Presley's player, I thought how kewl that looked. When I got me AVRI, I HAD to put a white on her.

If you've got the money, buy a '52 Re-Issue Telecaster. I've had one since 1995 and not a single day since of buyer's remorse. You simply won't want another model if you are into Telecasters, unless it's a 'color thing' or prefer rosewood fretboards.
