I see in the catalog they now have them for the Tele...anyone have experience with them yet?

Specs look good. I've had good experiences with everything I've ordered from them to date.

I've got one of the little Fender Squier butterscotch Tele's, an absolute bargain for the one I got, out the door at $150 even. Everything on it is fine, but I'm looking to beef up the sound with better pickups and better tuners.

Funny part is, I'll have as much money in upgrades as I do in the guitar!

I buyed one of these (bridge position) a couple of days ago. I receive it last friday and immediately installed it in my Telecaster Custom. I'm building my own bridge pickup with StewMac stuff. I'll put my comments as soon as I finish it.

I tried it and I adopted it. This is a great value pickup. The sound is comparable to many of these Seymour Duncan or Fender Custom Shop.

Thanks for info. Like I said, the specs look good. I'm just torn over spending the $$ to upgrade this little guitar or leave it as-is.

I have the same set up as u. Squier butterscotch blonde tele (i got mine $150 cash out the door) and installed the GOLDEN AGE TELE pickups. The tone sounds full and i am happy i upgraded. I kept the original tuners and it stays in tune just fine after being properly set up. Check your pots - they might be 500k. I upgraded almost everything on mine - pots (250k), switch, jack, and golden age pickups from STEW MAC, and i also shielded the pickup cavities as well as the control panel cavity - the guitar is now SILENT. Once you do all this work the guitar will be a beast and i am very pleased with the result. I totally recommend it.

Thanks much for the comments. As soon as I get the money ahead and the time, I think I'll order a set and see how it works.

I hadn't even thought to look at the pots, but that's another thing to investigate now. I'll try first the poor-,mans-potentiometer-swap and just put a 500K resistor in parallel across the leads. Heaven knows what taper they have.
