A couple:

Muddy Waters
Albert Collins (can't believe he's not mentioned yet)

Still looking for a country influence - old school country, not the stuff of today.

A country guy that plays a mean Tele with a B bender is Marty Stuart and someone already mentioned Danny Gatton.

Danny Gatton and Roy Buchannon had a profound influence on me about 10 years ago. They showed me what to never do in a million years. I'm sorry but I really, really dislike both of their styles/sounds. Chris Greene encouraged me to buy CDs by those guys so I did and I hate them both. Sorry. Different strokes for different folks.

Jeff Baxter, who played many different guitars including Teles, was a positive influence on me as was Dave Gilmour who uses a Tele far more often than people think, especially in the studio.

Brad Paisley and Kieth Urban are both wicked pickers in their genres.

Andy Summers was quite inventive and unique.

Alex Lifeson is largely under appreciated as a guitarist and uses Teles quite frequently in live performances.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I'd have to say Muddy Waters as well.

Also Keith Richards...

This is pretty easy for me:

Andy Summers
Stacy Mitchheart (Nashville local artist)
Muddy Waters
GE Smith
