Hi everyone, I just bought this 1989 Telecaster Plus with the Tremolo and was wonder if this looks normal for the Tele Plus. The middle spring looks strange. Thanks for your input.

It's a tremsetter, designed to stop the floating bridge throwing the guitar out of tune when a string snaps. Usually without the tremsetter, when a string snaps the lesser tension on the string side of the bridge allows the tremolo springs to pull the bridge back, throwing the whole guitar out of tune. Tremsetter (when setup correctly) stops this from happening.

Yeah I found this one at a pawn shop... it was a whole $594. Im just looking for the right Tremolo bar now. Anyone know what kind it takes?

wow, that was CHEAP!!!

those are veeery nice, and the tremolo models are not as common so its a real nice find! 8)

as I mentioned in an earlier post I'm not too fond of blue/green translucents, but Tele Pluses are really nice guitars, they handle higher gain styles really well!!! :D
