I have a new standard Tele, and among many problems with this guitar I have yet one more problem. I removed the protective film on the pickguard and it has left some glue material behind. At least I think it is the glue from the film. I can't seem to remove it and I thouht that I would come to this forum and ask if anyone has had this problem. I have tried a few things and so far nothing seems to work. Help me please.

The best way to try and remove it would be with some Nail Varnish Remover and some cotton pad thingys, try it out and let me know.

The problem with the pick guard is the glue that Fender is using.
What I did was remove the pick guard and use isopropanol alcohol that can be found in most drug stores with a clean towel.
Works great......

I had a Muddy Waters Tele that I got a great deal on, but the pg was somewhat mottled looking, almost discolored and faded even though it was new. I tried a number of different things, thinking it was adhesive left from the plastic film, including Goo Gone, nothing removed it. Before I sold it I tried one of the Lysol wipes to remove any prints, etc. and it completely removed the residue, made it look like a new pg. At that point I almost regretted the sale, but had already committed.
