Thats subjective, it depends what sound your looking for.
What would you say the current pickups are lacking? After all, if it aint broke don't fix it.

Erm, like an Indie, Alterantive, or rock sound maybe some blues, basically an all rounder.

Don't get me wrong the Mexican Standard Pickups are good i just want better :D

Harry,
I have an MIM and I refuse to change the pups. I feel that they are fantastic. Now, what I always tell folks prior to changing out pups try out amps first. It could possibly be your rig. Tons of folks will mod and mod and mod to no avail when it is a simple thing of the amp. In the long run, you might actually save yourself a ton of time frustration and maybe some money by trying just this. Take your guitar to a store and try it through every amp you can think of and see if that might direct you. Hope that this helps.

Thanks for the advice, i love my amp but i might try this, I have a Marshall AVT 150 and I have a American Standard Stratocaster and it sounds great, but lets ignore the amp thing, I am just curious which pups would be the best for my style check out my youtube channel to see what im talking about.

Hi Harry,I have an MIM Tele and basically play the same styles as you and I run mine through my Marshall JCM 800 2204 and 4210 and I'm perfectly satisfied with the pups.Granted I have to diddle with the EQ if I plug it in after using my Strat but with a bit of tweaking it sounds great. If you're still adamant about changing the pups you could try Lollars but if I were you I'd spend a bit more time adjusting the EQ rather than spend money. I've said this before, there's something about a Marshall that brings out a rawness in a Tele that no other amp can.Try playing some Who through it like I Can See For Miles and you'll see what I mean.

Definitely look into Fender Custom Shop, Texas Specials, and put in a 4 way switch to go in series !

Great sounding pickups !!

I put a DiMarzio True Velvet T Neck DP177 in my Mexican Tele and I actually use the neck position now.

The stock pickup was too muddy. The DiMarzio has a bit more midrange, and just a TOUCH more treble.

Sounds awesome with a pinch of overdrive, as well.
