Are the frets medium jumbo? They look bigger in the picture. How do you all like the neck?

The frets are medium jumbo, yes. The neck is amazing GTG, this guitar has been out it's case since I got it. I love playing it, give it a go you won't regret it.

Snowy, niki,

I'm really GASing for a Baja. Tried to get one and they were back ordered. It's the next Tele on my list.

I can't wait!

You guys just convince me more and more that it's my next purchase.

RickyD

I'm a Baja Tele lover, too. Bought mine the week they were introduced in July, 2006 and it's still one of my favorite guitars. The Custom Shop Twisted Tele neck and Broadcaster bridge pickups are amazing and there is one more tone option with the S-1 switch than I have on my American Deluxe Tele.

I have only seen one Blonde Baja here in Arizona and it was a special order. Then again, I can't think of a better place to have a Desert Sand Baja than the Sonoran desert.

Thanks! I could have done without so much of my reflection on the finish of the Baja but I'm still working on my digital photography skills.

Life is good. Then again how could it be bad with a pair of fine Teles like that?

I really do love my Baja tele, so much so I'm thinking of getting another. It's not for entirely greedy motives. My band do a couple of stones covers that the Baja is great for. So its permanently tuned to open G and the low E is removed. Yeah I'm such a fanboy , nah the neck is so thick chording the low E string can sometimes cause a bit of pain with stuff like brown sugar. So I dont get to play it as much as I used to.

It's not without its problems as a guitar. The 3 saddle bridge should really have compensated saddles and the fretwork was a bit off in places. Nothing unfixable and shouldnt put anyone off trying one.

I'm thinking of putting a 6 saddle bridge with strat bent saddles on mine. I dont like milled saddles at all.

Well, I went and played a Baja today.

Damn all of you.

I just spent 700 bucks on an American Special Strat (which I love) but now I have to somehow come up with the extra cash to buy this Tele.

It felt and sounded amazing.

:D Yeah Buddy! Don't ever come to the Tele board if you want to be talked out of buying one. Our job here is to convince you you need another!

I do not own a MIM Tele but I own MIJ and MIA ones and would consider the Tele my favorite ax of all time. There is nothing you cant do with one from Led Zep I to countru to shred-John 5. Ritchie Kotzen. Go for it.

For anybody in the market for a Tele and can't afford more than $500 I really suggest they look at the Classic Vibe Squire's with 3 to pick from they really give the MIM's a run for the money. Too many people shun them due to the Name but they are like the American Deluxe of Squires. Now don't get me wrong I'm not comparing them to MIA's But they are heads above the Standard or Vintage Modified Squire's.

The Baja Tele seems to be in short supply. I guess it turned out to be more popular than Fender had imagined.

Just as well. I should wait awhile before buying another guitar.
