The quality is far and above when compared to the models made in the homeland of Pancho Villa (a terrorist). Best of all they are competitively priced due to the place of their manufacture.

Dude.
Not cool..please stay off the political thing here. Thanks in advance.

He, the original poster asked and I replied. I was talking guitars and I'll spend my hard-earned cash the way I want.

And just who are YOU, "our" fearful leader or one of his faceless minions? I ain't your "dude" and you ain't(sic) the arbiter of what's "cool".

Shouldn't you be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black bandana and having a cafe' latte', wait that was your choice for .....

As for Fender Inc, they had NO problem with me when I was reporting all the counterfeit "Stratocaster" necks routinely listed late at night coming out of "Land of Mao" and being sold on Craigslist by "Guiguiseller". It took six months but those are finally gone.

No need for such hostility. No one is disagreeing with your suggestion of guitar.

The latest addition to my small Fender family :D I've been playing around all day with this, it needs some tinkering though. That said, it's a really nice instrument.

Not great pix, they don't do this guitar any justice.

im a strat man myself have got a tokai statocaster goldsound. it was built in "82" and its a dream to play, however, i have just purchased a mexican tele its the classic baja in lake placid blue and i must say its unbelievable. Its a good solid built guit and the tone out of the beast is second to none. Clean or with a touch of drive it sounds sweet. I would seriously reccomend getting one.

My first tele was a 81/82 Breezysound. I got a baja now too.

I have been jonesing for a Baja for a while. That pickup combination is stellar, and only otherwise available in CS models, more than twice the price. Add in the V neck shape, and it may be the perfect tele for me.

I just need to talk myself into buying one, but it's a bit of a tough sell, since I have about 6 projects laying around in pieces I should probably deal with first. (and my lack of a nylon string guitar makes it more of a priority i think.)

Actually ABS is in the US military fighting your war and him and Niki are correct, no mention of politics at Fender.com. We are all from different countries here and are here to talk guitars. Let that be the end of it.

Save the hostility for somewhere else too. Not cool.

Thanks,

CC

I had an American Standard Strat up until about a month ago.

I bought an American Standard Tele about two years ago, but it was a backup, so it didn't get used. I happened to take it to rehearsal one night, several months ago, and I have been playing it, exclusively, ever since.

I sold my American Strat and bought a FSR Standard Tele Ash BSB with Vintage Noiseless p'ups. Then I bought a FSR Standard Tele Natural Ash with Tex-Mex p'ups. Then I recently bought a Standard Tele BSB.

I am very impressed with the build quality and value of the recent Standard Tele's. They sound great, look great and cost much less than their American cousins.

I'm a Tele convert now. I won't play anything else...

Good luck. If you decide to buy, I'm sure you'll be very pleased.

That's the one Hop, like I said, she is a bundle of fun. The pix aren't great, she looks a lot better in the flesh. I gave her the Meguirs treatment earlier, she looks stunning. Let me know if you demo one, I'd love to hear your opinion.
