I have 2 JCM 800s that I run my Tele through from time to time an 83-2204 and an 84-4210 (1-12 Combo with reverb and overdrive section) and the combination is something else.Running through a Marshall a Tele takes on a rawness that no other amp can get.I play mostly British Invasion and 60s Classics and blues.Playing Who songs like I Can See For Miles sounds so much like the original it's uncanny, that must have been the set up Townshend used in the studio.Marshalls are well suited for blues and 60s rock and I even saw a country guy playing a Tele through a Marshall combo on Austin City Limits one night so I guess anything goes.

If you plug a Tele into a Marshall, the world will end... Just try it for yourself and see if you like it...

I sometimes use a telecaster with a Marshall 100W JMP MkII superbass amp and 4x12 marshall cab. But that is because it is the only back line I have and I use a Jazz bass.

I hav a JCM 900 into a 4x12 cab which I sometimes use my Tele through...only when I am attempting to play GnR(which I usually butcher..LOL). I also have a small Marshall MG15CDR which I will bring up on the porch when I don't feel like being in my studio...but for everyday gigging and recording I go straight through Fender amps..:)

I've played my Tele through my sons Marshall on occasion. You have to distort a Marshall though, I don't particularly care for their "clean" sound. He's got combo's a Valevstate 40 watt and an MG250.

In the early-to-mid-90s the Lousiana Bluesman Tab Benoit used to run his Teles through a Marshall Stack...I don't know what head for sure, but it looked like a JCM800...

...he now uses a couple of MusicMan Combos.

I have a Marshall MG100 FX. It's a solid state (I have a brand new baby and needed a headphone jack) and it has some decent FX features but you have to be careful if you like to get a dirty, less twangy sound from your tele. I play blues, rock, pop rock and although I like the amp, I had to get a pedal to get some of the clean out of it. I have a vibro champ xd too and actually get a better tone with more options when going through different song types. Marshall as a brand is solid and the amp plays much better with my USA G&L Legacy. It's all a matter of taste. Also, I don't know what a tube Marshall is like, but judging from some of the other guys' posts its about the same.

I plug my Baja tele into my JCM800 (2203) regularly, every gig infact. I only use the tele for little red rooster and Brown sugar.

The thing I like about JCM Marshalls is that they respond really well to the guitars settings. The EQ controls on the amps do next to nothing, but they really do respond well to tone and volume controls.

I plug mine into a Valvestate AVT 50 on the clean channel. One of my favorite tones.

I dont have a Marshal. I have a Genz Benz El Diablo 60, running EL 34s. It nails Marshall tones.
A tele sound great through it.

I JTM 45 Head into Vox 2x12 with Alnico Blues

This is the stereo setup I run.

My Pedal Board has the following in order (all pedals are on always and I use a Road Rage Pedal Looper for absolute true bypass)

Boss TU-2 - Boss Dynamic Filter - Maxon Sonic Distortion - Klon (with Horsie) - 1979 MXR Flanger - Fulltone Deja Vibe - Boss Rotary Twin Pedal - Boss PN-2 - 1974 MXR Phase 90 - Boss DC-2 (4 push button Chorus) - Line 6 DL4 - Boss RV-5

The Line 6 DL-4 and Boss RV-5 are not on the looper so I can get killer stereo imaging.

This is a permanent setup in my studio. When I gig I use a 1974x, 1974 Phase 90 Reissue and a TU-2.

I get killer clean sounds with the JTM/Bluesbreaker setup. Andy Summers used a very similar setup on the first 2 Police albums. His clean tone is killer....and it's Marshall.\\\bb

I run my CIJ 72 custom RI through my pedal board into a Marshall 3203 30 watt head with two 4x10 cabs - all original 80s kit. 8)

You can wind up the gain and get some real filth, but with a Boss Blues Driver and Delay pedal, then you're really talking.

does have a slight habit of trying to send me deaf, so when I need a break, I run through my Vox AC4TV
