If you want to have a custom built rosewood Tele I can guarantee you it won't be cheap.A vintage 69-72 Rosie will set you back $16,000 + and even a 90s MIJ will cost you in the order of $1,800.Although I can't give you a set price I would imagine a one off hand built rosewood Tele would probably cost you in excess of $4,000 as rosewood is pretty expensive to buy in guitar body sized pieces and due to it's oily nature very hard to glue as two or more pieces have to be sandwiched together to produce a body. That $4,000 figure is probably on the low side so be prepared to pay more. You'd probably be better off and going the extra bucks for an original vintage instrument.

Its really hard to say, because it depends on the builder, the materials being used, and what features you may want...

You won't know for sure what a custom shop guitar will cost until you get a quote from a dealer.

A list of custom shop dealers is here:

I guess if you want a figure, anywhere starting from $1200 to how many comma's and zero's you can afford to pay for in the price....
