First I want to point out that I am from Germany and hope you can read and understand my writing :-) more or less.

I am playing a Fender Mexico Telecaster (vintage white) with a Humbacker at the neck. I am searching for Pick Up upgrate (both pick up) to get the real Keith tone. I am use a Fender Hot Rod with a Keeler Pull unit in front.

Best wishes to the US, great country, cool music and best guitars :-) but the real cars still comming out of Germany :-)

IF you do a search you'll be able to find info on most of Keith's guitars.

Also, check this thread out. It might help.

I believe the first picture is actually of 'Malcolm'. Micawber is Butterscotch Blonde, Malcolm is Natural. You can also tell by the PAF neck pickup, Micawber has it installed backwards, Malcolm doesn't.

Not sure if he has a name for the '75 Custom, but I'm sure he does.

Great PICS though. I think the tongue is a key part of the "Keef Sound" as well.

The fun with Keith's teles is they're strung only with 5 strings. The low E string is missing....

I used to play a lot of Stones songs in open G and took off the low E but to be honest I did not like the feel and put it back on the next time I changed strings,
