I love the tone from the Tele through a Vox AC30. Anyone else? What do you like?

I've got mine running through a Fender Stage 100 DSP Combo Amp with it's cabinet and the tone is incredibly sweet and clean.

Both my Silverface Champ and old Ampeg Portaflex B12-XT work very well with the tele. To be honest I love my tele through any amp, unlike my strat which seems to have higher standards when it comes to amplification ^^

I have a Blues Jr. which is a clean sounding amp. The Tele and its own clean sound makes a nice combo.

Vox Valvetronix Amps make the Telecaster sound like a dream, from clean shimmery sounds to beefy, dirty, rough sounds.

Go Vox!

The Tele sounds great through any quality amp,the Fender Twin,Blues Jr., Deluxe Reverb,Princeton or just about any Fender amp.You said you liked the AC30 but the Vox Valvetronix as already suggested or other modeling amps by Vox such as the AD 30,60 and 120 are great amps and can give you quite realistic models of many popular amps in one package and the beauty of it is that you can pick up used ones pretty cheap.

I normally use mine through an SCXD but I also have an old (circa 1983) Champ that it does justice too as well. For more power, it sounds great through my Super 210.

I've tried a couple through the Band Master VM I got a couple of months ago and the jury is still out on that one. In fact, the jury is still out on the VM in general ... doesn't seem to have the soul of a class Fender tube amp.

I've tried my Teles through some friends' small solid state amps (don't remember what they all were) and wasn't overly impressed. My conclusion is that Teles like a tube sound with some depth and at least a little bit of mud and classic reverb on.

My final comment is that I'm 57 and still like the "old" sound of the 50s and 60s so that obviously influences my choice too. If you're looking for the sound I hear a lot in current rock, my setups probably won't work at all.

The way I see it, a 57 year old guitarist has lots and lots of wisdom to offer. Thanks, from all of us, for all your posts.

What model amp makes a Tele "complete"?

Sounds like you're asking for the "Ultimate Tele Amp." I think any person living or dead would be very hard pressed to find a better sounding amp for a Tele than the Vibro-King.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

As long as it has tubes whatever you use should get the job done.
