I have a spotless, barely touched 10 year old Tex Mex triple pick-up Tele, any idea of establishing a value on it?

Pictures would help too.

The "Tex-Mex" Teles were MIM and made in roughly the mid-1990s so if it's one of those it will be older than ten years. They evolved into the "California Series" Teles by '97 or '98 and had vintage-style six-saddle bridges and either a Strat pickup or a humbucker (Tex Mex Fat Tele) in the neck position. Colors offered included Brown Sunburst, Vintage White, Candy Apple Red, and perhaps Black too.

I can't remember any Tex-Mex Teles with three pickups, but I don't claim to have a perfect memory. Another possibility is a previous owner installed a middle pickup in yours.

If it's really only ten years old and unmodified, I agree with sjtalon that it's most likely a MIM Nashville Telecaster. These have remained unchanged throughout the years as far as I know with the possible exception of available colors.

Is this what you have?

Thanks for the help...when purchased "new" I requested a Tex-Mex Tele.

It is made in USA and assembled in Mexico.

It features Tele pick-ups with a strat pick-up in the center.

I don't think this model was made for a long period of time.

On the head-stock, very small, is printed Deluxe Series.[/i]

What does the S/N start with ? That is, what are the two letters and then a #.

If it says " Deluxe Series " then you have a Nashville Telecaster. They are still made and VERY popular.

it's worth about $400

Made in USA and mfc. in Mex.............doubt it. Doesn't it say "Made In Mexico" ?

>It features Tele pick-ups with a strat pick-up in the center<

Those would be Tex Mex (model) pickups

Is the pickguard lay out like this ?

The Nashville Tele is also available with a Fishman Powerbridge:

Fender has released an American Deluxe version with active electronics, featuring a sub-rumble switch in the back of the body and dual concentric pots. The Fishman electronics on the USA Deluxe are active, the second concentric pot is for the piezo volume and the on-board 12dB mid-boost circuit. This Tele also sports a 3-way toggle selector to interact between the two Vintage Noiseless pickups and the piezo. It was produced between 1999 and 2001.

Without a picture it's hard to say for sure but I think you most likely have a MIM Nashville Telecaster. Can you snap a couple of pictures, post them at a free image hosting site like photobucket.com or imageshack.com and share them with us?

The MN has nothing to do with the model, its a mfc. factory & year deal. That makes it for sure a made in Mexico and tells the year ( with-in 1)

s/n MN would be pre 2000, Then they went to MZ

the first number after that would be the mfc year.

Like I said, if it says Deluxe Series, it's a Nashville Telecaster.
