I have an higway one tele (maple, nitro finish) body and birdseye neck, and i have to choose the pickups to complete it, which is the best fender 51' nocaster or seymour duncan 50' antiquity? Naturally i want a vintage sound like the one of the 50's teles, if there are better pickups pls tell me.
If then I want a strummer like sound what should I buy?
Thanks

I have an '88 American Standard tele, Lake Placid blue with rosewood neck. I have used Fender Texas Specials in that guitar for about 12 years. I also have a 1960 Custom Shop VIntage Reissue Strat with Texas Specials, so I wanted something different for the tele. A couple of weeks ago, I dropped in a pair of S.D. Antiquity pickups in the tele. They are fantastic. They look and sound amazing. I like the flat pole pieces in the bridge. I just sold a PRS singlecut, and I'm probably going to buy a '52 Hot Rod tele, to round it all out.

I like the duncan pu's. i have duncans in a couple of guitars. Pete Anderson gets some great sounds out of the antiquity pu's
