Hello!

Nice to be on this forum.

I am thinking to get a 4 position switch on a Nocaster.
Keeping the options of the original 3, adding a Neck and Bridge series in 4 (with blender).

Do you think it's possible?

Thank you

If by blender you mean you have your Nocaster wired like the 'ol days, meaning what would be the tone pot blends the neck with the bridge in position 1:

Then what I did with one I had is left the 3 way switch and then added a push/pull pot (blender control position) to get the N & B in series.

Sounded GREAT !!

Your specifications are very interessing.

Could you precise me the possibilities of your Tele?

Thank You.

Well basically regardless of how your Tele is wired, be it like a standard 3 way or whatever, the tone control could be replaced with a push/pull pot (DPDT switch) to put the two pickups in series.

This one kind of does what you want. http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-tech/169974-nocaster-concentric-blend-vol-tone-circuit.html#post1960588

Issues are: (a) neck blend didn't change the tone much for me (b) the blend pot taper is not user friendly

Other circuits/diagrams in that thread.

I agree with CC on the blend deal. I put Nocaster pickups in a Tele and did the vintage Nocaster wiring to "keep it real" but couldn't really get fond of it. I did have the p/p to get series as well.

I have since re-wired it to standard Tele 3-way, and still have the p/p.

The Nocasters sound GREAT in series !!

Hello Guys!

I would like to thank you for all your answers and schemes.

I think that finally a standard 4 switch with tone control (instead of the blend)

and positions switch like this:

1-Bridge
2-Bridge and Neck parallel
3-Neck
4-Bridge and Neck series

will be great.

A Baja with no S1 position.

Gilbert

That would be a great way to go. Nocasters sound nice in series. A little fatter, and a tad more power when distorted.

There is some modification you have to do to your neck pickup:
