Ask for many pics before buying...

Unless I am mistaken, the HS stands for the pickup configuration...I believe it has a neck humbucking pickup and a single coil bridge pickup.

Isn't it the other way around?

Nope, Humbucking Neck, Single Coil Bridge....Also called a Fat Telecaster or sometimes a Keefcaster (as in Keith Richards)....

Typically, this configuration is only found on Teles...

Do you think that one in perfect condition would be worth 600.00?

Absolutely, because I think they sold for almost twice that when they were brand new and available. If its in great condition, thats a steal for an American made Fender that has since been discontinued.

Make sure you get the original hard case with the guitar!

Good luck.

can anyone answer this question?

the tele i have has this little chrome emblem on the head that says fender 60 on it.... the serial # starts with z5 , which, from what i understand means it was built in '05. If Leo started in 1947, a guitar built in '05 would be 58 years old, not 60.

It depends on who you ask on the pup configuration. You should get photos.
