I am fortunate because I have 2 different Fender Teles. I have a HWY1 and a Standard. Both of them have such different tones. I absolutely love having this ability. If I am playing something like the style of the Eagles I use the Standard, when I want to get a little dirtier and play stuff like GE Smith I go with the HWY 1. I am curious if anyone else has multiple Teles and what they do with them. :D

I used to have a G&L ASAT Special with (G&L made) P90 type pups in it and that was a very different and useful sounding guitar. Many years ago I had a Tele with a bucker at the bridge and that was also a nice change of pace. Try to find yourself a Nashville type of Tele with a middle (Strat type) pup and then you'll have something even more different and useful than your current choices. A Bigsby is also a cool addition to a Tele worth considering.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I've had different Teles through the years and I don't think that any two ever sounded alike. From a '68 Tele to current - - each one has had different feel and sounds.

Well I have 4 of them. My 85 62 reissue was my main guitar for over a decade and had Dimarzio fast tracks in it which made it great for classic rock from AC/DC to ZEP. I also have a CIJ 72 Thinline reissue which is great for blues, a new American Deluxe with noiseless pups and S1 switching which can do most anything and another MIJ Blonde that is back to being stock for the twang
