I recently got a 2006 mim standard tele and it didn't have a switch tip (other than that good condition). So i was wondering if anyone knows where i could a switch tip online, and also are the mim and mia ones the same size? I assume they are.
Thanks in advance.

eBay is a good place for parts, as long as they are from Fender Parts dealers....

My Highway 1 tele came without a switch tip too. I've gotten used to not having it and think it adds a little original character to my guitar. Greasy Groove carries a lot of interesting tele parts though.

If you had to "adjust" the hole, it sounds like you might have got one for the Japanese and far eastern product, which often has a smaller switch lever.

The tips that fit the US type switches is Fender part no. 099-4936-000

I saw a salesman take one off an MIA Tele and put it on a MIM and it went right on.
