What a great guitar. What a great Tele.

IMHO, the best thing ever to come out of Mexico.

I've really been impressed with the quality of Mexican made Fenders lately. I swore I'd never one one, and now I have two! Both are really nice.

I've had mine for a few months now. Can't say I've ever owned a better guitar for the money.

I picked one up in a local shop this morning and thought that it was rather heavy (weightwise).

How many pieces in these bodies ?

It's heavy, but not like the '70s ash ones.
I dont know how many pieces the body is made of, maybe 3 ?

well basically its a custom shop design

it has a soft v-shaped neck, medium jumbo frets,
and the main thing really is the pickups and swithc system.
- it has a Custom Shop “Twisted” Tele Single-Coil at the neck and a Custom Shop Broadcaster Single-Coil at the bridge. then it has a four way switching system; bridge, neck + bridge in parrallel, neck, neck and bridge in series. and then it has an S-1 switch to put the two selections which use both pickups in and out of phase which gives some very different tones.

you may not understand it but thats it :D

I've been a Strat player all my life.... my first electric guitar was a 1957
Strat I paid $400 for. I just came back from a Guitar Center to drop off a guitar for some fret work and I happened to see this Baja Tele ( sand color) on clearence for $500. Is this a decent price for a 2006 model that looks in fairly good shape ???

Mine was $800 new, so it seems like a pretty good deal if it's still in good shape.
