Hi,

Need help on how to get details on my guitar. Is there a place on the fender site where I can dial in my serial number and they would have the details of my guitar? Stuff like type of wood, color etc. All I found in the site is a list of serial numbers to say when my guitar was made and that's it.

Thanks in advance!

Post a couple of good, clear pictures here and we can most likely tell you what Telecaster you have.

Upload your photos to any free hosting site such as photobucket.com and then either post the link or the [img] tags.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I contacted fender (email) and they said that they will try to find info on it for me. If that doesn't work, will then post the pics online :)

Wow, I am sorry. I took pictures of my guitar today and found out that the forum can't attach pictures directly from my computer. I think it has to be done HTML which I don't know how to do. Any way around this? Thanks.[/img]

Open an account at photobucket (it's free) or similar, follow the directions there. It's very straight forward Galore, if I can do it anyone can. There's a great explanation on the forum tee comp thread, good luck.

Hi Snowy72. Thanks for the encouragement! I went to Photobucket and figured it out in about 15 minutes how to attach. For a little time I thought I would never figure out! But figure out I did!

So here is my only electric guitar. Its a '93 American Standard. I bought this in '93 at Guitar Center, California (LA). The only changes are that I have the neck set up by my luthier to be 'business card low' and the pickups have been the Vintage Noiseless since early 2000ish. The tone knob is a TBX. Most people notice and compliment the natural aged-yellowing of the pick guard.

I initially wanted a natural finish but the Guitar Center I went to didn't have it in stock so I grabbed this one because it was the most "standard looking". I got a Tele over a Strat because of Jimmy Page's solo on Stairway to Heaven :) and during the time, I was a huge Police fan (still am).

Just a quick note, on the close up of the Tele body, there looks like a nick on the upper left hand side, its not a nick, must be glare from the camera. No nicks on the guitar. Been very careful :)

That's a sweet looking Tele and as you said like most I was drawn to the Pickguard,I thought it may have been a 70s Tele until I saw the N prefix.
