I am planning on customizing my Telecaster with the 4-way switch Mod and replacing the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan Hot Stack.

It is my intention to order the pre-wired MOJO 4-way telecaster mod, however, I am concerned about polarity issues with the Hot Stack and the standard fender neck pickup.

Seymour Duncan notes that when wiring with a standard fender pickup, you may often have to wire the Hot Stack oppositely. This makes sense, in the reversal of ground and hot, but I am concerned about how this will interact with the 4-way mod.

I can't seem to "translate" these instructions from the MOJO website:

The ground must be lifted from the rhythm pickup cover by disconnecting the jumper wire from the leg of the pickup cover to the black pickup ground wire. Solder a new wire from the pickup cover to the back of the volume pot. One foot of wire will do. This will maintain the covers shielding capability.

If anybody can offer advice or instructions, I would be grateful.

Being the 4 way will put the pickups in series ( one to "though" the other) whatever you have to do with the bridge ( or neck) pickup to get them in phase with one another won't matter for the series deal.

There is a good picture on the bottom of this page for the neck pickup modification ( VERY easy to do):
