Blonde! I also favor Olympic white and Dakota red with a rosewood fingerboard, but it would be a pity to hide the ash!

I found some wood stain dyes that mix w/ denatured alcohol.
Then maybe I can hit it w/ nitro.

Picked up some 70's reissue tuners, so the neck may have to be a 7o's cut..

Are those simialar to the one's used in the finewoodworking link from above. what did they cost. My other project body is already finished in a 3-tone tobacco but the are some knicks and other issues that I didn't see until I bought it. so I may strip it and start over. :?

Pretty close from what I've been told.
The water based are more $$$$.

I am wondering how the (clear)nitro topcoat will look on the finished product. Of course I will have to test out applications on scrap. I am going to use to cotton shirt application method first to see what happens.
It will look pretty cool w/ a 50's tele body and a 70's neck.
I am thinking a silver burst kind of idea, I'll keep adding to the post as I get things straightened.
