Dunno yet. I'll have to see one and noodle around for a bit on it. The more I was around the original roadworn, the more it grew on me.

I've never gotten off on the reliced or roadworn look or even the N.O.S. or closet classic looks. To my way of thinking it screams "poseur" or "wannabe".

2¢.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Posted on the NAMM thread that I just don't get why you'd want to buy a pre-beat up guitar and pay extra for it.

I like to beat up my own guitars, thank you very much!

I'd rather my new guitar look brand new as well.

+1 as I agree. I would rather do my own wearing and or so-called relic look.

Even some of the Signature Models are for mainly name sake in my opnion. Hendrix and others probably didn't seek out signature models.. They just sought out a guitar they liked and probably done some wiring and pickup changes to their liking. Truthfully, I like there style of music and sound but don't want to be a "Clone".

Once I become famous, you can buy a copy of my guitar and emulate me! Just joshing... doubt that I'll ever get beyond emulating others.

No thank you, I will age my own axe as it grows old with me. True that they do feel good in your hands, but there is no individuallity between them that much.
What you gonna say when someone calls your bluff with the fact that they are playing a real aged fender and yours is dated in 2009.
I really don't care what you play as long as you enjoy what you are doing.
Just my two cents. 8)
