I was just reading the Strat forum and lots of chaos on certain topics. I think this area is more civilized. 8)

I don't think it's that we are more civilized. I just think we are more passionate when it comes to Teles. We tend to focus more on our Tele passion than chaos and shenanigans. I play Strats, Les Pauls and classicals but there is nothing like the Telecaster. My favorite forums are this one and TDPRI; the passion/obsession for the Telecaster is unmatched.

Hey did you see that?

Where's that guy with the double posting graphic in his signature line?
Somebody needs a slugging.
We'll start a ruckus in here yet.
Civilized .... Hmph!!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I would say that we are more open to other Tele players thoughts and ideas. I used to play Strats for years, and I was very closed minded. Since I became a Tele player I find that I appreciate other Tele players set ups ,gear and style much more.

Um... I think if you'd put me, CC, BlackCatBone and airbornestrat together for a weekend we'd pretty well take civilization down!

It's probably a good thing we're seperated across large land masses and large bodies of water! :D

I do agree though - the only thing I really want to see here is Tele related, although as a group of buddies we can certainly get off-topic and there's certainly nothing wrong with that among friends.
