Those Thinlines were lovely guitars, the f-holes really set them off and the Fender humbuckers imparted a much warmer sound than Gibsons. Was it ash or mahogany body?

I have played that combination and I now own a '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue amp and a '72 Thinline Reissue. I didn't stand a chance.

i feel as if im listening to myself talk about it.
i tried a 2 tone sunburst 72 classic series thinline semi hollow, and several
other amps. i was like putty.

hey john, do they have a fatter neck than the standard c neck?

The '08 Fender Special Run Thinline Reissue I bought has a modern 9.5" radius fretboard with medium jumbo frets rather than the 7.25" radius with vintage frets. That was the other spec that made it special and impossible to resist. 8)
