Though this looks nice and is certainly equipped nice, I can't find anything on it. Wondering if it's not a kit. Have asked the seller but as of yet haven't heard. That may be a sign right there . . .

If it's not a real Fender made guitar, I'd buy one if it was.

Looks like a Fender AD neck.

Never seen an American Deluxe Ash with Humbuckers - nor can I find anything out about it. Naturally makes me think it's something someone built on there own.

I had the same thought. I know Fender used to make an AD Tele HH but I thought they were all maple top guitars. That same model is still available but it is now MIM. Perhaps somebody didn't like the maple body and bought a Warmoth ash body. Or maybe they made one in ash and I just never heard about it.

Yeah, me too. Unfortunately, it's being advertised as a New Fender American Deluxe without any mention of modification.

I personally think this is a built from scratch piece an could be an amazing guitar that I wouldn't mind owning at all if it's built well but when it's falsely advertised as actual Fender . . . I stay away.

And, the seller still hasn't answered my question so that may be the proof in the pudding. Sadly, if he'd just own up to it and deal a little, I might buy it.

Oh well, plenty of other nice Tele fish in the sea . . .

Yes, almost certainly a partscaster. Nicely done though.

But a little misleading in the description....

Another vote for partscaster here.

That's either an aftermarket body or a Fender body routed for those humbuckers. I can't remember Fender ever using a bridge with an integrated humbucker. I've seen those bridges for sale from guitar parts sellers but not on a stock Fender Tele.

Every Fender Tele I can think of with a humbucker in the bridge uses a Strat-style hardtail bridge and the humbucker is mounted separately.

I also can't think of any Fender Tele with an humbucker in the neck that has a humbucker mounting ring on top of the pickguard. Normally Fender mounts the humbucker to the pickguard itself. The pickguard does the same thing as the ring, so why have both?

I'm pretty sure that American Deluxe Teles have always had top binding, too. This one doesn't.

A Korean Lite Ash tele modded to accomodate humbuckers.

An AD neck and a Special Edition Lite Ash body from Korea. No idea the rest.

The neck looks like a lite ash neck to me too. Yes they have abalone dots, 22frets and the same logo.

The logo is different. Binterz owns a Lite Ash Tele and it doesnt say 'Telecaster' on the headstock plus the Fender is different too bro.

Yeah, the logo is different on the Lite Ash and there's no "Telecaster" on the Lite Ash as it came from the factory, BUT...

Check the neck in the auction. Notice there's no contrasting wood surrounding the truss rod adjustment like there is on an American Deluxe neck here:

http://www.fender.com/products/search.p ... 0101600700

If I remember correctly, the Korean Teles such as the various set-neck HH models and the Lite Ash have nothing surrounding the truss rod hole.

I think that's a Lite Ash neck with a different logo.

Either way, the guitar is a fake. I think we all agree on that.
