I am concerned about which telecaster I should buy.

I don't have any information of concepts about any tele models.

can someone please give me some info which model has which sound?
(such as 51 has less sharp sound or somthing..)

or which models easily get more gains and stuff..

51 nocaster, 52 tele, 64 tele, and so on,, (popular tele relic model)

First - Just to make it clear, I've never played any of those original guitars.

The tonal differences are more down to pickups IMO. Of course, those models used different kinds of body woods and saddles etc, which you can check out in the specs in the Fender Custom Shop website.

The 51 and 52 are basically the same guitar, but you have to consider that in those times, the pickups were all made using hand-guided, scatter-wound process, so they could vary in output much more than our modern standards.

The pickups from those times (50-54) had bigger, alnico III pole pieces, that were flush to the top of the bobbin. The tone was somewhat dark, midrangey and compressed.

by 1964, Fender was using alnico V with smaller, staggered pole pieces on the bridge pickups of the Teles, with probably less output in average if compared with the early Tele models - the 60's sounded brighter and more jangly.

But talking about the Custom Shop models.. anything may happen, since they may use a "Hot Broadcaster" pickup on a 60s Tele version, or the "stratty" Twisted Tele neck pickup on a 50's and much more. The Time Machine series is what you must look for if you are after more "authentic" specs.
