There have been quite a few posts about Mid 80's MIJ Strat's (I have 3), but I have not seen much about Mid 80's MIJ Tele's.

Who has one?
What info is there on them?

C'mon guys speak up!!

Sorry I can't help Chet, I own a CIJ Tele myself. It was made (or crafted I should say  ) around 2006 I'm sure. I have the Fender Japan website, but I don't think that's what you're after. It's worth a look though, some outstanding guitars on it. Unfortunately it's in Japaneese, the pictures are nice though  http://www.fenderjapan.co.jp/fender/200 ... caster.htm

I'll be watching this thread out of interest, I'm sure somebody will chime in with some useful information.

Not specifically to my knowledge.

I'd suggest you google search Fender Japan and see what you find!

Hi Chet, this is all I could find on MIJ Teles, they were made in the Fuji Gen Gakki Mfg. Co. after negotiations with several companies.Apparently all Teles and Strats were made in Japan or Seoul Korea while they got the Corona plant up and running during 85 however Japanese production started in 82.The only other reference to Tele production in Japan is the Squire which started production in 83.I've checked a few of my guitar related books and info is very sparse,no specs production nos. etc.But I have a bit of good info, the Jam Jams are in the mail but I'm told that delivery could take up to 14 business days.
