When I play unplugged I noticed an odd buzz coming from the neck. I narrowed it down to the B string. Around the 4th fret, it makes a buzzing noise when the string is plucked. This isn't a case of low action, as the fret is not making contact with the string at all. It's almost as if the fret wire itself is rattling. I can't figure this one out. Anyone have a guess?

It might be a sympathetic vibration from the truss rod. If you turn the truss rod EVER SO SLIGHTLY in either direction, this may eliminate your problem.

I think you might be right about the truss rod being the culprit. When I plug the G and B strings while the guitar is laying flat it doesn't rattle. When I'm holding the guitar it does. I tried a slight turn of the truss rod but it didn't solve the problem. Hmm... Wondering if it could have something to do with the dry winter climate here (Canadian prairie).
