Greetings!

Signed up for the forum awhile ago, but never posted. It's really cool to see so many people that love the Tele as much as I do.

I bought my first Tele, a Squier version, when I was 16. I was a big Rolling Stones Fan and wanted to play the same guitar as Keith Richards. Bought my first and only vintage Tele when I was 19, a 1974 Custom with the wide range humbucker in the neck and the single coil in the bridge. I gigged that guitar hundreds of times over the next 11 yrs. Finally this last summer I retired it and bought a Gretsch Electromatic hollowbody. Nothing fancy but a good playing guitar.

I've owned Gibsons, Rickenbachers and other Fender models, but nothing compares to my Tele. It is a fine crafted guitar and the sound is amazing. You can play any style that you want on a Tele. Here's a picture of me playing it live a few years back.
Image and another of me and it in it's case.

Welcome to the forum 3dogknife. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Teles are indeed astounding versatile musical instruments. I consider myself lucky to own one so I can play it everyday. :)
