I'm interested in a guitar with the configuration of a Deluxe Nashville Power Tele - http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0135000306, but would like to get a USA built one. Is there already a guitar that fits this description?

If not, can you order a custom-built Tele (i.e. built-to-spec) from the Fender Custom shop, as you could do from Parker or Martin, or is it a case of what they currently have on offer is all you can get?

I'm an ardent fan of the piezo/mag mix and don't want to go another way. My stage sound is heavily reliant on this mix.

Alternatively, I was thinking of getting a Brent Mason Signature Valley Arts and having the Power Bridge or a Graphtech solution modded after market. Anybody here gone that route?

All replies appreciated

Andy

Hi Andy,

Welcome to the Forum!

I have the Mexican version of the Deluxe Power Tele. It's an awesome guitar! As far as I know Fender doesn't currently make an American version. I'm sure the Custom Shop will make you one, but you'd better have some green.

These are the top of the line as far as Mexican models. I really don't think you could go wrong by owning the Mexican version and using it as a stage guitar.

As an alternate, check this out on eBay. 2002 American Power Tele (2 pickups) but it might word for you. It looks pretty sweet and not bad for the money.

Let us know what you decide to do! Good luck!

Rick

Another way to go would get a G&L Classic S & get it modded. I love mine.

Or maybe you could add a Fishmann Bridge to a 1997 Tele Plus Mk II?

I bought a nash mim about 2 months ago and have gigged it every weekend since then. It is my new #1, a strat being my #2 now. The tonal variances in mine is great. I cant say enough good things about my mim nashville. I dont know about a U.S. one, but mine plays great! Best guitar I have ever owned and the tele bite is ferocious!
