Bill Kirchen is an original member of Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen.

Watch this video and see what he does at about 2:35 and on. This is why I love the Tele. Listen to the versitility and sounds he can get from this Tele. His Tele is a '59 Sunburst. That is real relicing!

Anybody ever seen him in person? I'll bet it's quite a show.

I love Tele's!!!

I see Bill Kirchen every year at a very small club in northern New Jersey. He is quite a showman and a fantastic guitarist. Like the Commander Cody group, he has many styles - blues, country, western , etc and a good sense of humor. In particular, he makes himself accessible to people both before and after performing. I remember last year he was setting up a pedal and the 9V was dead and he didn't have a spare. I ran out to my car to get him some I happened to have. He signed a really cool poster size display of him, a copy I brought of CC & LPA's " We've Got a Live One Here" and he gave me the pick he used that night. Don't miss him if you get the chance - he is a Tele-Master.

I aspire to play "Hot Rod Lincoln" as fast as he does . . . that doesn't mean I'll ever accomplish the feat.
